Janet Mackinnon is a Consultant and Writer. She has Masters Degrees in English Language and Literature and Urban and Regional Planning Studies from the Universities of Oxford and London. Janet has also undertaken professional training as a Management Consultant.

Consultancy
Janet started her career in 1983 as an editorial assistant in the publishing business, subsequently becoming a campaigner on environmental, transport and social housing issues, and an urban development researcher.

After several years in corporate property development and investment, and business and management consultancy, Janet resumed her career as an independent practitioner, setting up EPONA  (currently awaiting new website)  in 1994.

Since 2004, Janet has established another enterprise, Green Man Projects (www.greenman-projects.co.uk) and is in the process of setting up Crookbarrow (www.crookbarrow.com). She also enjoys helping other people set up new ventures.

Writing
Having written a large number of consultancy client reports, various articles for professional and trade periodicals, and a short cultural review published in The Observer newspaper in 2004, Janet started blogging a few years ago.
